Overview:
As the end of the school year approaches, Peyton considers participating in a music internship in Los Angeles, while Brooke tries to reconnect with Chase through yearbook signatures, and Haley struggles to write her valedictorian speech. Meanwhile, Dan suggests that Lucas get professional help when Karen worries about his obsession with theories about Keith’s murder.
Recap:
When Lucas sees Karen and Dan kissing, he punches Dan who fights back. Then, Lucas shouts Dan murdered Keith; Dan walks away and Karen refuses to listen to Lucas. "Jimmy killed Keith. Just stop it!" Not only can’t Karen believe Lucas, but also the police department doesn’t seem to be interested in Lucas’ accuses. Later, Dan shows up at Karen’s and tells her Lucas might need to get professional help. After listening to Luca’s version, Karen tells him she thinks he might see somebody who can help him get through this.
Nathan thinks that no university will give him a chance, so he’s kind of depressed, although Haley and Whitey tries to make him understand he has to fight back. Unfortunately she has also her own issues: Principal Turner informs Haley she is not allowed to give her valedictorian speech because of Nathan’s shoving points issue. Nathan can’t believe this, since she has been working really hard, for years and he feels also responsible about it. So he goes and sees Principal Turner in order to talk him out of it… and he brings off! Haley is enthusiastic.
Peyton gets a summer internship in Los Angeles and Lucas assures her he will be here when she gets back. "You deserve it, and we both know you’re destinate to greatness". Peyton hints there is something going on but he can’t what it is up.
Meanwhile, Brooke and Chase try to reconnect with each other through yearbook signatures. In fact, Brooke confesses to Peyton she is willing to get him back. Anyway, while Brooke opens up to him, writing what she really feels about him; Chase write few cold words. Later, he drops in on her apartment and says to her: "Everything you wrote to me, I feel it too. I just didn’t know how to put it in words." She is positive he just did. They kiss.
Thanks to Gigi, Mouth gets Jimmy’s yearbook to be signed by Tree Hill students. Then he gives the book to Jimmy’s mother, who starts crying because of the joy.
After stealing Deb’s gun, Lucas threatens to shoot Dan and Karen collapses.
