Recap:

A class assignment pairs members of the senior class together. The teacher wants the couples to learn who their partner really is. They were given a list of activities
1) Share something personal with your partner.
2) Lighten up. Do an impression of a celebrity or a famous character.
3) Admit something that worries you, or something you are afraid of.
4) What do you want to be in ten years? and
5) Tell your partner a secret.
Lucas is paired up with Glenda, Brooke with Chase, Peyton with Nathan, Haley with Skills, Rachel with Bevin, and Mouth with Shelly, the Clean Teen leader.
Lucas shows Glenda his novel. He shares to her that if his novel fails, he wouldn’t know what to do since he can’t play basketball anymore. He says that maybe he’ll go back to Tree Hill and coach. Lucas then helps Glenda prove to her mother that she’s one of the cool kids.
Nathan takes Peyton to the school’s weight room and tells her about how he worked-out there everyday because his father told him he was to skinny. Peyton shows Nathan the knuckle she broke after their 20th split. Nathan tells Peyton that he’s ashamed that he felt a second of relief when he found out his mom attempted a suicide.
Skills and Haley go to the rooftop of the school where Skills shares that if he doesn’t get a scholarship, he would end up working at a factory where his dad works. Haley tells Skills that maybe she’ll teach in ten years. Haley opens Skills’ admission letter that tells him he got a full ride to college.
Shelly tells Mouth something personal, that she started “Clean Teens” after she got her heart broken. Mouth then shares that he wants to be dangerous rather than always being the safe “friend”. They start to really talk and Mouth asks Shelly to prom.
Chase hears that Brooke is failing calculus right before the assignment started. He’s a little annoyed that the girl who was supposed to be tutoring him is really failing. It just gets worse when she admits to him that she stole the exam and doesn’t believe in Clean Teens. Then she tells him about Rachel’s bet that she can’t sleep with him within three dates. The secret is out and Chase tells her that if he can just get her to stop lying to him he may like her. Then, he asks her to be honest with him, once and for all. And she agrees. They make up.
Rachel immediately goes to the bathroom to get high. Bevin tries to execute the assignment but it’s obvious that her partner isn’t taking it seriously at all. They do get real momentarily when Rachel admits that she never felt anything for any of the random guys she hooked up with. Bevin says that she wants to be a guy for one day and kisses Rachel to see if maybe she (Rachel) is into girls. But she’s not. Finally, Bevin tells Rachel that she knows everyone thinks she’s stupid, but she’s not dumb. She just lets them feel better about themselves by treating her like an idiot. She knows who the really sad ones are people like Rachel who need to build themselves up by tearing others down. Rachel looks hurt.
Everyone takes a picture of their own partner, as the assignment says.
