Overview:

Dan must face the harsh consequences of his decision to murder Keith as Karen and Haley’s pregnancies complicate the lives of Nathan and the graduating seniors of Tree Hill High. Lucas wrestles with his post-high school options, and Peyton and Brooke prepare to spend the summer in Los Angeles together.

Recap:

While "Lightning Crashes" is playing in the background, Nathan and Haley are rushing into the hospital because she is having their baby. At the same time, doctors try to get Karen back, since she has just flat lined. And finally DD – Diabolic Dan makes up his mind: he turns himself in. Yep, prison time is kind of approaching.
While doctors are trying to save Karen, she sees Keith, who is in a beautiful garden with a little girl. Their daughter, actually. Keith tells Karen she has to go back, without worrying about anything: he will wait for her and their little daughter. In the meantime, Haley gives birth to James Lucas Scott.
Two weeks later.
Karen visits Keith at the cemetery, holding her little daughter, whose name is Lily Rose Scott.
Meanwhile, the last high school party is approaching but Nathan and Haley don’t want to leave their little James. Deb assures them she will look after him and, even though they are not that thrilled to leave their son to a former drug addicted, they end up giving in.
Party time! It turns out the one who throws the party was none other than… Rachel. Yep, Reckless Red Hair is back in town and Brooke is very happy about it.
Lucas tells Peyton he doesn’t want her to go to Los Angeles (she is leaving tomorrow with Brooke, as planned) but he does know he has to let her go. Peyton assures him she is going to love him forever, no matter what. He does think the same thing.
Someone else is back in town… Shelly, who kind of ended the whole Clean Team thing. It turns out Shelly is eager to get Mouth back in her life but Mouth doesn’t seem that ready, even though he tells her he did miss her very much since they were apart.
Brooke is sad because high school has really finished; Lucas assures her that he does think she’ll do great things in her life.
Since Nathan and Haley keeps on calling Deb up to check in on James, CG – Crazy Grandmother unplugs the phone. Of course Haley and Nathan rush home and, after talking to Deb, they figure they were a bit too anxious.
All the girls – Peyton, Brooke, Rachel, Shelly, Haley and Bevin – dance to a Spice Girl’s song. Elsewhere, Skills is singing the same song, under Lucas’ stunned eyes. Later, Brooke and Goldilocks are happy to say their friendship did make it. Meanwhile, Lucas and Nathan are wondering whether they should pay a visit to Dan. Nathan tells Lucas he is sorry he didn’t believe him when he told him Dan had killed Keith. Good-boy Lucas assures him it’s fine. Actually, he wishes he was wrong.
What a night for Mouth! He punches Shelly’s ex boyfriend who was insulting her and he does manage to kiss Brooke – after waiting like forever and a day. "I have always wanted to do this!", he claims. Brooke is a bit stunned and can’t help but say to Chase: "Do you see what happens when you leave me alone?". Then, Brooke tells Chase she really appreciate the fact he lets her say goodbye to all her friends, but he was the one she wanted to finish the night with. He has definitely the same opinion.
Lucas and Nathan decide not to go and see their father Dan. Ever… Someone else decides to pay him a visit, though. Karen. She tells him that Lily will certainly know that her father loved his younger brother very much. And that brother took him from her (Lily) for her entire life. Then Karen spits on the window between her and Dan and goes away. Dan tries to hang up himself but he is not that successful.
After having sex, Chase and Brooke have a serious talk. She tells him he has become a really important part of her life, so she is going to miss him very much. Chase assures her he will be waiting for her, until she comes back to him.
Haley can’t believe she won’t see Lucas anymore since it’s the end of high school, but Lucas has interesting news: Whitey offered to help him with the new team and Lucas agreed to join him. Haley is really happy because she did not want to lose her best friend.
Fresh news for Reckless Red Hair either: Brooke is happy to tell her she did graduate after all. Rachel tells Brooke that she has been in a lot of school, but she is very happy she ended up graduating from Tree High. Brooke smiles and can’t help but agree.
It’s midnight and the gang sees the new seniors celebrate the beginning of their senior year. "Uh, high school kids. Let’s get out of here, you guys", Miss Davis says. And Skills does know where they should hang out: the river court!
It’s time for a "Hos over Bros" match and Haley does manage to do a free throw. Yay. There is a promise in the air. "In four years, we will be right back here, done with college or wherever we go, right?".Then, Nathan asks Lucas if he is ready for a re-match, since in the last one-on-one Nathan kind of lost.
And the others sit on the benches near the court, all together. There is music playing in the background, so we can’t hear what they’re saying, we can just watch their expressions, smiles and yells. Meanwhile, Nathan asks Lucas if he is sure to be up for the one-on-one, "old man". Lucas has no doubts. "I could do this forever, little brother". They smile, the music is still playing and the match can get started.
